Workways Odette: Creating a Tranquil Haven in a Co-Working Space
Nestled within the vibrant co-working space of Workways in Brussels, Belgium, you’ll discover the enchanting Workways Odette restaurant. Designed by Ohra Studio, this 90.44 square meter area boasts an eclectic style, seamlessly blending mid-century elements with contemporary design concepts.
A Haven of Relaxation: Design Philosophy
At Ohra Studio, our primary objective was to create a space where guests of Workways Odette could escape the demands of work and immerse themselves in a tranquil and intimate environment. We sought to evoke a sense of relaxation and comfort through the design. To achieve this, we carefully selected dark, saturated colors and incorporated soft, cozy textures throughout the restaurant. This combination of elements creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to unwind and disconnect from their work as much as possible.
Depth and Warmth: The Chosen Palette
To convey an atmosphere of comfort, we chose a palette consisting of dark, deep shades for the decor. This selection infuses the space with a sense of richness and warmth, enhancing the overall dining experience. By using nuanced colours, we create a captivating ambience that invites guests to indulge in the cozy environment. Our design approach ensures that every aspect of the restaurant exudes a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Illuminating Serenity: Nuanced Lighting
In order to maintain the tranquil atmosphere, we opted for an abundance of comfortable and nuanced lighting rather than relying on general lighting. This deliberate choice creates an intimate and soothing ambiance throughout the restaurant. The carefully curated lighting design accentuates the details and enhances the overall sense of relaxation for the guests.

A Space to Unwind: The Reading Area
Within Workways Odette, we have created a dedicated area designed to provide a moment of respite and tranquility. The centerpiece of this space is a fireplace, emanating warmth and acting as a focal point that draws guests in. Adjacent to the fireplace, a curated selection of books awaits, inviting visitors to take a break and lose themselves in the pages. This thoughtfully designed reading area further enhances the sense of relaxation within the co-working environment, offering a sanctuary within the restaurant.
